THE QUOTE COMPARER
Different options.
A clearer choice.
Put your actual quotes beside one another. See the quantities, the included work and the questions still worth asking.
01 / USE THE SAME PROJECT
One scope. A clearer comparison.
Use actual supplier and installer figures. Enter each cost once, before tax. If a line is included elsewhere, enter 0 and explain it in the scope notes.
10% is an editable starting assumption. Confirm the allowance for each product and layout. Measure in the floor studio ↗
02 / ENTER YOUR SHORTLIST
Look beyond the price per foot.
Blank costs stay unpriced. Enter 0 only for a confirmed zero or a cost already included in another line. Prices, suppliers and products are yours to enter.
03 / SEE WHAT IS INCLUDED
The whole quantity picture.
This worksheet compares entered costs. It does not assess product quality, warranty, installation suitability or contractor credentials. Confirm quantities, tax treatment, exclusions and scope before ordering. One product per quote; offcuts are pooled across the project.
Are these quotes for the same work?
Match rooms, net area, layout, preparation, removal, transitions, furniture moving, delivery and tax. Use the scope notes to record exclusions and items included in other lines.
Why do carton sizes change the total?
Each option rounds up to its own full cartons. A lower square-foot price can still result in different purchased coverage. Use the coverage printed on the exact product’s packaging.
What if a quote is one bundled price?
Ask for a breakdown before comparing. This worksheet expects flooring priced per square foot or carton, with the remaining work entered as project totals. Keep the original quote beside your worksheet.
