ROOM BY ROOM

A quieter plan for condo flooring.

Check building requirements and the tested floor assembly before ordering materials.

Ask the building first

Request the current renovation process and flooring or acoustic requirements from the condo corporation, strata or property manager. Confirm approvals, contractor access, delivery arrangements and work hours before scheduling. Requirements vary by building.

Ask what the rating actually covers

An acoustic rating can describe a tested assembly rather than an individual plank. Check the substrate, slab, ceiling and underlay in the report against your building. Do not treat a product label or extra pad as automatic compliance.

Keep both sets of instructions aligned

The building and flooring manufacturer may impose different conditions. Confirm a compatible solution in writing, including approved underlay and transitions. Keep the approval and installer scope with your project record.

Bring it back to your space.

Keep approximate measurements, product details and open questions together. HAUSE can review your location and project scope.
